Travel Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) or Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), your dedicated tour guide will greet you outside the baggage claim area. During the transfer to your pre-booked four or five-star hotel in the city center, your guide will share insights about Beijing’s rich history and key landmarks. The remainder of the day is yours to explore this fascinating city at your own pace.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel to begin a day of exploring Beijing. Start with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. From there, cross over to the Forbidden City, an iconic cultural landmark and former residence of Chinese emperors for over five centuries.
Next, head to the Summer Palace to admire its stunning gardens and envision the luxurious lifestyle of imperial royalty who once relaxed in this beautiful summer retreat. The day concludes with a stop at the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, the impressive stadium and pool built for the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, offering a striking contrast to the city’s ancient history. Return to your hotel in the evening.

Start your day with an exciting visit to the Mutianyu Great Wall, a quieter section of China’s iconic 1,400-year-old landmark, located about 70 kilometers from Beijing. Enjoy a comfortable round-trip cable car ride over scenic landscapes, then walk along the wall to admire the Ming dynasty guard towers and breathtaking views.
In the afternoon, return to the city and explore the Confucius Temple and Imperial College Museum. Wander through the nearby hutongs, discovering local life as you browse charming shops, sip a coffee, and experience an authentic slice of Beijing’s vibrant community.

Enjoy your time in Gubei Water Town, a traditional courtyard-style building. If you are an early riser, a walk in the water town is a good choice in the morning when there are fewer people. Your guide will be happy to show you some selected attractions in Gubei Water Town, which show authentic Chinese style. You can take lots of photos there if you like.
Afterwards, we can arrange for you to experience “three out of one” in Gubei Water Town (about 45 minutes): tie-dyeing, kite making, Buddhist sutra tracing. Try one of these Chinese cultural experiences and make your own unique souvenir.
The tour ends after lunch, and your guide will handle your luggage and transfers, and accompany you to the correct check-in counter at the airport or train station for your departure.

- Entering and exiting China from Hong Kong and Taipei are also available.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.

- This is a small group tour with a fixed itinerary and guaranteed departures.
You will travel with other people (maximum of 12). - Smart casual dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour guide may adjust the itinerary due to closure of the museums each Monday.
- At the conclusion of the tour, a transfer from your hotel to Hongqiao or Pudong Airport in Shanghai is available upon request at a surcharge.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
