Travel Itinerary
Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you at the arrival hall of the airport or train station with a name sign. After meeting your guide, he/she will take you to your hotel in a private van and driver. Get some rest and prepare for the next day’s adventure!
To avoid waiting in line, our guide will suggest the best departure time and may suggest getting up early or changing the itinerary of attractions. Please understand and cooperate.
Your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Wulingyuan Scenic Area, where Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is located, to visit its two most classic and popular attractions.
Take the cable car to Tianzi Mountain, where large and strange peaks stand tall. Go up the stairs and the magnificent scenery from different angles will appear in front of you.
In the afternoon, take a public bus to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where the mountains are said to be the inspiration for Hallelujah Mountain in “Avatar”. This area is the most visited area due to its fame.
There is another option to go down the mountain – Bailong Elevator. Built on the edge of a cliff, this glass elevator claims to be the highest in the world. It takes only 2 minutes to reach the top of the mountain.
The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is a natural wonder. It is a blend of mountains, streams, caves, cliffs, and forests. The world’s longest and highest glass bridge is located in the area. Walking along this glass bridge 300 meters above the ground will be one of the coolest experiences of your trip!
Then drive to Baofeng Lake, which is located in a basin in the middle of the mountain area and can be reached by walking for about 20 minutes, and then take a 30-minute wooden boat ride. It is a leisurely experience to sail on the clear water, admire the various shapes of hills, and enjoy the local ethnic minorities singing traditional songs.
Your heartbeat will speed up when you climb Tianmen Mountain and take the world’s longest cable car, the suspended glass plank road nearly a mile (1,430 meters) above the ground, and the “Ninety-Nine Bends” mountain road.
Tianmen Mountain is the “soul” of Zhangjiajie and the highest peak in Zhangjiajie. The scenery here includes graceful ancient trees, karst hills and long roads carved out of the cliffside. The cable car from the city center to the top of the mountain takes 30 minutes and is the longest cable car in the world.
Tianmen Cave (literally “Heaven’s Gate Cave”) is a 30-meter-high hole naturally formed in the mountain in the shape of a door, and was made famous by a world-class stuntman who glided in a wingsuit. To reach Tianmen Cave, you need to climb along the “ladder to heaven” for about half an hour.
At the end of the tour, we will send you to the airport and wave goodbye.
