During their trip to Tibet, tourists need to pay attention to adapting to the high-altitude environment, respecting local culture and religious customs, and maintaining environmental hygiene.

Travel Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Lhasa airport , your dedicated tour guide will greet you outside the baggage claim area. During the transfer to your pre-booked four or five-star hotel in the city center, your guide will share insights about Lhasa’s rich history and key landmarks. The remainder of the day is yours to explore this fascinating city at your own pace.

Warm Tips: Orienteering is recommended. Keep warm, don’t drink alcohol, avoid excessive physical activity, and get enough sleep to adapt to the high altitude.
Depart early to the highlight of Lhasa – the majestic Potala Palace, this sacred and mysterious palace dates back to the 7th century and has been the spiritual center of the Tibetan people since then. Take some time to learn more about the former residence of the Dalai Lama. Then, head to the Jokhang Temple, the most sacred and revered Buddhist temple for locals and pilgrims, with a history of more than 1,300 years. The Barkhor Street surrounding the temple is a bustling commercial area and a popular bazaar, with hundreds of pilgrims coming every day to perform ceremonies and patronize shops and stalls selling traditional handicrafts and delicacies.
Next is the last stop, Ani Tsangkhong Nunnery, built by the 7th century Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo for meditation. Watch the skills and art of the resident nuns, who produce goods to sell to make a living.

Today, you can admire the beauty of the architecture, treasures and geographical location of Norbulingka, which was the summer resort for generations of Dalai Lamas. Visitors also have the opportunity to learn how to make thangkas, a unique Tibetan silk embroidery scroll painting.
Drepung Monastery is the highest-ranking monastery among the Gelugpa monasteries. The monastery contains treasures such as porcelain, thangkas, scriptures, bronzes, Buddha statues, armor, weapons, etc. It is an important center for understanding Tibetan civilization and a source of information and inspiration for the local people.
Debates between monks are a planned activity during the afternoon visit to the famous Sera Monastery. Debates provide monks with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and promotion. Visitors are often shocked by the intensity of the debate, clapping and shoving their companions for answers.

Get your camera ready to capture the spectacular scenery, set off early in the morning and drive 2.5 hours along the ancient mountain road to Shigatse. There are many viewing platforms along the way, from which you can see Yamdrok Lake, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet, at an altitude of 4,440 meters, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The slow-flowing Karola Glacier is a natural wonder, which merges into two hanging glaciers and flows into the Nianchu River.
Continuing to Gyantse, we will stop at the Palkor Monastery, an exquisite building built in the early 15th century. The building is a typical Tibetan Buddhist monastic architecture, combining pagodas and temples. The Palkor Monastery is famous for its long history, complete architecture, special religious value, and well-preserved exquisite paintings and statues. Finally, walk through the old street of Gyantse to see the lifestyle of the locals, including their houses, shops and goods.
Arrive at Shigatse at around 5pm and check in to your hotel.

You will be driven in a comfortable vehicle with your guide to Tashilhunpo Monastery, the largest monastery in the Shigatse region, dating back to 1447 AD. It is the residence of the fifth Panchen Lama, the leader of Tibetan Buddhism, and a renowned institution of learning. The center is attractive for its historical, religious and cultural importance, cultural relics and beautiful gardens, as is the magnificent New Panchen Palace, the summer residence of the Panchen Lama, located on the east side of the monastery.
Afterwards, take a comfortable and exhilarating drive to Tingri, stopping at Sakya Monastery, a group of buildings dating back to the mid-13th century, the main temple of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. The colorful monastery, with its exterior painted in red, white and hyacinth colors, is a breathtaking sight with its numerous halls, Tibetan Buddhist scriptures, murals and thangkas. Continue driving to the second stop, Lhaze
Town, a small town with a few thousand people in the Yarlung Zangbo River Valley. After another 2 hours of driving from Lhaze, you will reach Tingri and spend the night there. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Note: Please be prepared for a long and arduous trek. Due to local conditions, meals are usually simple.

Today’s itinerary will take you to the breathtaking Mount Everest and reach the Everest Base Camp. There are two base camps on Mount Everest, the South Camp is located in Nepal and the North Camp is located in Tibet. The North Camp is set up for climbers, at an altitude of 5,150 meters. It is the camp you will visit on this trip and the closest camp to Mount Everest for non-professional climbers. The camp can be reached on foot or by car.

Today, go down the mountain to visit Rongbuk Monastery, a unique monastery where monks and nuns live together. It is known as the highest monastery in the world, at an altitude of 4,980 meters.
Afterwards, Prepare to depart for Lhasa. The rest of the day is at your own discretion. Prepare to leave Tibet the next day.

End of a pleasant trip to Tibet, return with full of memories and wonderful experiences, you will be transferred to Lhasa airport to take a flight back home or to your next destination in China.
